About us

The Regional Wounds Victoria (RWV) program is a collaborative of Clinical Nurse Consultants (CNCs) who are supported by the Australian Government, Department of Health and the Victorian Government. These roles provide a service to over 96% of the Victorian land mass, and whose clientele include 30% of Victoria’s Commonwealth Home Support Program (cHSP) and Home and Community Care program for Younger People (HACC PYP) clients. RWV work collectively to improve outcomes for Victorians who receive district nursing or high level care in Public Sector Residential Aged Care Services (PSRACS) by:

  1. Developing and maintaining state and national links and networks

  2. Working collaboratively on selected initiatives, to improve outcomes for clients and support services by building capacity in clinicians delivering complex wound management

  3. Providing leadership, strategic and operational support to other professional bodies

Aims

The aims of Regional Wounds Victoria are to;

  1. Provide onsite and remote consultative services

  2. Facilitate education, training, support and resources regionally and to

  3. Provide access to clinical expertise across the rural regions

RWV is supported by funding from the Australian and Victorian Governments. The cHSP is funded by the Australian Government Department of Health.
